Rule 31
Investigation and settlement of complaints
: (1) The Director General shall immediately order the inspection officer to conduct the necessary investigation regarding the complaint registered in the department in accordance with sub-rule (2) or (4) of rule 30.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (3) of rule 30, the inspection officer shall immediately initiate an investigation regarding the complaint received before the inspection officer.
(3) During the investigation according to sub-rule (1) or (2), if the following conditions exist, the investigating officer may recommend to the Director General to keep such complaint under investigation:-
(a) If the conduct alleged in the complaint is false or fictitious, or is found to be untrue,
(b) In relation to the conduct mentioned in such complaint, before the complaint is filed, action has already been initiated on the same subject with or without any complaint or if it appears that the department has completed an investigation and investigation, or
(c) If it is found that the necessary evidence is not sufficient to take immediate action on the complaint.
(4) According to sub-rule (3), the Director General may, after conducting necessary investigations, order the complaint to be kept under investigation or further investigation.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this rule, the department may take the necessary investigation as a complaint regarding any action taken against the rights and interests of the consumer, even the material published through any media or social network.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (3) of rule 30, the inspection officer shall immediately initiate an investigation regarding the complaint received before the inspection officer.
(3) During the investigation according to sub-rule (1) or (2), if the following conditions exist, the investigating officer may recommend to the Director General to keep such complaint under investigation:-
(a) If the conduct alleged in the complaint is false or fictitious, or is found to be untrue,
